Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, professional Pilates Instructor to join our intimate studio team. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and client care, skilled in classical or contemporary Pilates, and committed to contributing to a welcoming, supportive studio environment. This role includes teaching private, semi-private, and group sessions, managing client relationships, assisting with payment processing, promoting personal and studio services, and maintaining studio cleanliness and care.
Education and Experience
Completion of or in the process of completing a PSAP approved Pilates Teacher Training Program
Must be well-versed in basic anatomy and kinesiology or have the desire to advance knowledge in this area
A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching group exercise classes and/or private/semiprivate sessions
Familiarity with the MindBody Online booking system and Google Suite, OR very comfortable with computers and able to learn quickly. Training will be provided as needed.
Teaching and Instruction
Teach small group Pilates classes consisting of 3 students using reformers, towers, props, and mat-based exercises
Conduct Introductory class and private sessions for new clients including review of paperwork, medical history, and goal setting to assess and recommend the appropriate progression into their Pilates experience
Teach single and duet Pilates sessions from beginner to advanced levels - using all of the various Pilates apparatus (reformer, chair, tower, ladder barrel, Pilates arc, trap table, pedi-pull, foot corrector), and the Pilates mat exercises.
Teach online (live) virtual Pilates classes or privates as needed to promote consistency for clients when traveling. We are primarily an in-person teaching studio.
Provide safe, clear instruction with appropriate modifications and progressions.
Maintain up-to-date session records, programs, and client progress notes.
Client Management and Experience
Greet and welcome all clients, ensuring a warm and professional first impression.
Manage client scheduling, rescheduling, and follow-up communications as needed.
Support new client onboarding, including intake forms, consultations, and orientation.
Create a fun, caring, and client focused studio culture.
Payment Processing & Administrative Support
Process client payments, package purchases, and session check-ins using studio systems.
Assist with tracking attendance, payments, and session balances.
Communicate studio policies (cancellations, expiration dates, etc.) clearly and respectfully.
Self-Promotion & Studio Growth
Promote personal teaching availability and studio services through client conversations and light marketing efforts.
Support social media or studio marketing initiatives (photos, quotes, content ideas).
Encourage client retention and referrals through excellent service and relationship-building.
Desire to participate in and support the mission and vision of the business.
Understand and be knowledgeable about the services offered in the studio so that you can present clients with options and help them create the best program for them
Promote all SHW programs, services, and products
Studio Care & Professional Standards
Maintain a clean, organized studio environment before, during, and after sessions.
Clean and sanitize equipment according to studio protocols.
Report maintenance or supply needs to the studio owner promptly.
Adhere to studio policies, professionalism, dress code, and punctuality standards.

Have a thirst for knowledge and personal growth by staying active in continuing education.
Willingness to sub classes and work as a team to create consistency for clients and flexibility for teachers.
