Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take my insurance for Physical Therapy services?
Sakash Health and Wellness is considered an out-of-network provider. While insurance is not processed directly, and payment is due at the time of service, many patients can submit claims to their insurance company. Sakash Health and Wellness will make sure clients receive the documentation necessary to receive the maximum reimbursement available. Additionally, all physical therapy services can be paid for via Health Savings Account and/or Flexible Spending Accounts.
It is important to note that Sakash Health and Wellness has no relationship with Medicare. In this circumstance, law prevents us from providing Medicare patients with what would be considered “normally covered services.” If you are a Medicare beneficiary and would still like to request treatment or have questions, please call us at (603) 662-3166.
How do I know if I have out-of-network insurance benefits?
You will need to call your insurance company and ask them if the plan you selected includes out-of-network benefits and what they are. It is encouraged that you also compare this to your in-network benefits. Once deductibles, copays, and coinsurance are added to each visit and you are prescribed to go 2-3x/week for 6 weeks, the expense can often be greater.
Will I need a prescription from my doctor for physical therapy?
No. You do not need a prescription or referral from your doctor to come to receive physical therapy services at Sakash Health and Wellness. Maine and New Hampshire are direct access states. However, if you are pursuing reimbursement from your insurance company, they may require you to have a referral to qualify.
How long are the physical therapy sessions?
All physical therapy appointments will last for 1 hour.
How many physical therapy sessions will I need?
That will depend on your specific needs. Only after a thorough examination and evaluation will it be clear how many sessions will be required to achieve your desired outcomes.
Would You Like A Good Faith Estimate?
If you do not have health insurance or plan to self-pay for our services, we will provide you with a “Good Faith Estimate” of our costs. If you would like to request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling, please call our office or email us at info@sakashhw.com.
